University student Sogawa Ichika (Hirose Alice) inherits 5 trillion yen from her father all of a sudden and attempts are made on her life by his siblings. The avaricious family has struck a deal to let the person who kills Ichika first have all the money to himself or herself and tries all means to take her life. Ichika’s housekeeper Hashida Masako (Mizuno Miki) hires the investigator Chikumagawa Hikaru (Takito Kenichi), who has a perfect record of solving cases before they happen, to protect her.

Comments by gaijinmark [Rating: 7/10] Greedy people trying to cheat someone out of their rightful inheritance. But "Tantei" plays it partially for laughs so you know Ichika is never really going to come to harm. The payoff is at the end of every episode seeing how Chikumagawa foils the plot. In a way, every episode is the same. Good acting, but predictable. For a serious version of the same scenario watch "Nyokei Kazoku".
