A story of a young samurai, Bunshiro Maki from small Unasaka Domain in Tohoku region in the Edo Period. In spite of poverty and many difficulties, he finally avenges his father�fs death by struggling through his fate with a warm feeling towards the woman of his first love, Fuku. Based on a novel written by Shuhei Fujisawa.
The drama won 2 Golden Nymph awards in the 44th Monte Carlo Television Festival Mini Series section for Best Mini-Series and Best Performance by Actor, which was held in July. |
