After graduating from a prestigious private university, Kusano Seiji (Sugino Yosuke) gets a job at a big company and lives the life of a winner. However, he is one of the new graduates axed merely six months into his job because of the economic downturn precipitated by the collapse of Lehman Brothers. At the same time, Kusano’s father falls sick and has to undergo expensive treatment that is not covered by insurance. To make matters worse, he cannot find another job and is pressed by the bank to repay his student loan. Kusano feels despair. He ends up doing a shady part-time job where he can make hundreds of thousands a day.
