1. | Comments by SayaOtonashi [Rating: 4/10] Poor dorama about an English teacher and three of her students that, incomprehensibly, end up solving misteries with murders involved. I don't know how I finished watching this one. All episodes are exactly the same, only the last one changes slightly (slightly!!!) the last minute (credits XD). I couldn't stop thinking: "How the hell do they end up surrounded by corpses? They don't worry about them but they are not surprised at all either!". All misteries involved kanji mixing and English readings, so it seems almost everyone in Japan has treasures and follows the same way to leave clues all around. Absolutely none of the characters are developed at all, they are totally plain and never think: "Another murder, again??". Even most of the people around the mistery is dispensable, and each case lacks depth. And the three girls were SO annoying!!! Poor imitation of TRICK, it was OK to see Ayukawa's changes but she was quite annoying, and I really want to see Kimura Ryo in another role, not only the good looking student with great kendo skills. Don't waste your time with this one, unless you need to enter into brainless mode or you want to test your kanji knowledge (while being in brainless mode, btw). I'm giving it a 5 because production was decent at least. |
2. | Comments by nishishi [Rating: 5/10] So-So... I would have given a higher rating if Puzzle wasnt a complete worst version of Trick. Some of the episodes are plain stupid (e.g.: the last one) and even the better ones dont get even close to be as good as the stories from Trick. Since its one plot per episode... things goes really fast.. and sometimes it makes the episodes unbearable to watch (bodies beeing discovered almost at the same time.. lack of time to explain the reasons behind the crimes most of the times its all about revenge, wich makes the plots really predictable).
Nah... if u r looking for some mistery doramas go watch the Trick series... if u've already watched.... well.. dont expect to much of puzzle (its not worth it). |
3. | Comments by Susan [Rating: 9/10] I really enjoyed this drama and its cast. Yamamoto Yusuke was brilliant and cute as always, but Ishihara Satomi really surprised me. She pulled off the role of greedy, two-faced Ayukawa really well. I kept expecting some kind of big arc to begin and take place over the course of the series, but every episode was a one-shot. I really enjoyed that but because of the episodic nature of the show there was absolutely no character development! That and the sometimes too simplistic mysteries were the only disappointing aspects of the series. Otherwise it was really funny and interesting! I hope they make a sequel of some kind! |
4. | Comments by aiscess [Rating: 8/10] From the creators of Trick, I have a feeling that this could have the fourth season but due to some reasons it didn't pushed through and so Puzzle was born. From the subplots itself and Ayukawa's nature of being greedy, it was definitely a clone of Trick and the way they relieve how the crime took place reminds me of Mop Girl. It was fun and entertaining but their treasure hunting always ends up to nothing and they accidentally get involved in murder cases. A younger version of Trick although the original is still the best. |
5. | Comments by Nermal [Rating: 9/10] Turned out to be very interesting!
Was not expecting anything out of it really but really liked it. It's a good mystery show with some funny moments.
I recommend it for people who like mysteries, especially since every episode is a stand alone. |
6. | Comments by Chimar [Rating: 1/10] I have never started a drama and not finished it, but this was my first time. I began the drama because of the cast. Every episode is the same, with different people at different locations. By far one of the worse dramas I have seen. |
7. | Comments by Eyeyore [Rating: 2/10] Not trying to find a drama to spit at. 'Puzzle' is trying too hard to be a Kindaichi or Trick wallaby. Get stuck in an enclosed place/island, people in the group get killed, then find the murderer. |
8. | Comments by highandmighty_ryuude [Rating: 5/10] POSITIVE : Go nin mai, after the well known TRICK series, TV Asahi retake the same mistery plots in small villages. But Trick was better.
NEGATIVE : Satomi's cuteness couldn't save this drama. |
9. | Comments by asako77 [Rating: 8/10] I'm sure many ppl thought this was lame. I liked it though. It was very scooby-doo like but, there was something attractive about its simplicity. It was funny. |
10. | Comments by tartan [Rating: 8/10] Umm, definitely C-class drama, but despite that as a mystery lover I really loved this. For people that like to watch dramas solving puzzles and mysteries. |
11. | Comments by marspeach [Rating: 6/10] Funny but every episode was pretty much the same thing. That could have been okay, but it wasn't strong enough. Not a total waste of time at least. |
12. | Comments by Milano [Rating: 7/10] five years after the well known TRICK series, TV Asahi retake the same mistery plots in small villages. But Trick was better. |
13. | Comments by desert-raven [Rating: 7/10] A cute series, though very repetitive....Ishihara Satomi is nice to look at...a very different role from Hanayome to Papa... |
14. | Comments by Jeanxi [Rating: 3/10] Cheesy and stupid. Looks just like any other mediocre comedy detective drama. Ishihara Satomi is very cute, though =P |
15. | Comments by henrywil [Rating: 7/10] detective story, bt nt as creative as other detective series i hav watched so far, some of e things r 2 repetitive |

17. | Comments by yeoni [Rating: 5/10] An enjoyable drama, the style of the plot was repetitive though, but it was good fun and quite creepy at times. |
18. | Comments by rikastar [Rating: 5/10] I usually like such stories but this was really a weak series. I think it has a low budget and it shows. |
19. | Comments by room304 [Rating: 1/10] awful ... dropped it after 5 episodes ... unrealistic storyline AND bad acting, that's just too much |
20. | Comments by xaxa [Rating: 6/10] the plot is very similar to Trick series. but too bad it's just not at the level of Trick :/ |
21. | Comments by tagnickname55 [Rating: 7/10] felt a bit shallow but i found the show to be prety funny, especially the english lessons |

23. | Comments by wanderingfish7 [Rating: ?/10] it is funny, however, the case is a little bit dumb, gave up at the second episode. |
24. | Comments by natni [Rating: 7/10] remind me of trick. but not as tricky as trick...i just love ishihara.... |
25. | Comments by mizz_evy [Rating: 7/10] there is really no story to the drama. but it has good solving cases. |
26. | Comments by cybilcora [Rating: 8/10] interesting story line and the mysteries are well played out. |
27. | Comments by Wynter [Rating: 7/10] Satomi-chan is great, though drama is a bit mediocre... |
28. | Comments by monstakarotte [Rating: 6/10] Hm, quite nice for in between... the teacher was funny |
