| Itomura Satoshi (Kamikawa Takaya) was transferred from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department in Tokyo to the Kyoto Prefectural Police last year. He assumed duties at the Special Investigation Office, which is a team assigned priority to cases in the Kyoto Prefectural Police with peculiar circumstances. This professional group handles difficult cases brilliantly and is even in charge of joint investigations and undercover investigations with other prefectures. Kanzaki Rio (Kuriyama Chiaki), who is partnered with Itomura, has a very different personality. But she acknowledges his attitude and beliefs regarding articles left on the scene and they gradually become more of a pair.
