1. | Comments by jaycee [Rating: 8/10] This is pretty interesting.... i have left my japanese dorama days quite sometime after anime took over my life... but then i came back and tried to resurrect my love for doramas again, this was like the first one after so many years not watching something purely original... i wouldn't say the main character is now not pretty nor the guy that she was to get married to was ugly. equally, they were pretty good actors... and i love the head of the Azuchi Household, now she was good. almost perfect. what a mother-in-law. the dorama was slow in the begining, but when u actually sit down and have a 5-6 hour marathon... it could really get intensifying. so, i'd say try this dorama, it's worth a laugh! |
2. | Comments by compaqmac321 [Rating: 8/10] hmmm, to be honest i think they could have done alot more....more than half of episode 12 was a time skip..i feel like that was just as interesting as the show was...they could have cut some of the lame stuff from the other episodes and made the whole 12th episode a time skip or made it 11 episodes and the 12th a special...but other than that it was funny, the mother didnt annoy me, i rather liked her to be honest....akiko's best friend annoyed me to death tho, she was SO nosey and meddlesome, sometimes it got a bit cry babyish here and there but other than that i enjoyed the show |
3. | Comments by rikastar [Rating: 6/10] I hated the 1st ep... then it picked up and I liked it as the series progressed, and then the last 2 episodes really dragged. Basically, if it wasn't for Shinohara Ryoko I would have dropped it after the 1st ep. I ended up liking Yabe too, I find him rather endearing. The Kaori character drove me nuts... the actress was so overdoing it. She overdid her nose surgery too XD She was much more pretty in Itazura na Kiss w/o that witch-like nose. |
4. | Comments by tkarmina28 [Rating: 9/10] So far, I find it really good! I've actually only gone up to Episode 2 right now, but I think this is a super adorable storyline. Koyama's there and well, he's part of NEWS, which means I automatically love this drama. ^^ But he was so cute there - allergic to peaches.. and they live in a peach farm. >.<'' I am sensing a romance blooming between the main actress and the guy whose family she's going into? But we'll see. So far, I love it! |
5. | Comments by Patazilla [Rating: 7/10] Not bad, but not very satisfacting, either. I liked the mother character and the whole farm aspect, but the story wasn't very gripping at parts. I normally really love Shinohara Ryoko's charcaters so I have a high standard of expectation against which this show's character, although generally fine, seemed a bit bland. To sum it up: rather mediocre. |
6. | Comments by onigiriman [Rating: 7/10] Shinohara Ryoko is one of my favorites but she should be more selective. And why Yabe Hiroyuki? The idea of a guy born and raised in Tohoku living in Tokyo and speaking with a Osaka accent is pretty ridicuous. NOTE: Keep an eye on the clock on the wall behind Taketomi (Shinohara) Akiko's sofa. It was stuck on 9:05 for a while then moved to 8:00. |
7. | Comments by Kirari Ililah [Rating: 9/10] FUNNY! Shinohara is a wonderful actress and she's so peppy that you can't help but watch her. This drama rises the factor of "impressing a family" and the mother is hilarious!
Koyama is quite adorable in this too, his acting is getting better, but might still need some work..he's just a Johnny though. |
8. | Comments by nienna [Rating: 7/10] The amount of craziness in this series is incredible!! The idea of a fake bride was kinda a put off for me because she had to pretend to be, well, a bride. And in return, she had to endure all sorts of hardships of being part of the family. good family series, bad example to follow. hehehe... |
9. | Comments by Tiffany [Rating: 6/10] The premise of this whole story almost made me want to stop watching right off the bat. It was just so... dumb. Yet I stuck with it and, well, it didn't get much better. It's somewhat interesting to see how a peach farm operates, but besides that, I definitely don't recommend this series. |
10. | Comments by aik0 [Rating: 5/10] Thou the script is sometimes exaggerated, the female lead's performance makes up for this pitfall. Yet there is a tendency that this dorama is turning into a family dorama. The last few eps have been really draggy, as a result, a 5 is warranted. |
11. | Comments by daniela [Rating: 7/10] kiku no?? kikitai no?? - that is what always comes to my mind when i remember this drama^^..let's be serious..it was funny, i loved Shinohara Ryoko's character (Akiko) but i hated the excessive acting of Ozawa Mayu (the weird Kaoru) |
12. | Comments by Signo [Rating: 8/10] A little bit lame at the start, but it becames very interesting by intoducing the azuchi famly. shinohara ryoko as the bride and iwashita ahima as the mother in law acts excellent. the story has a smooth end. |
13. | Comments by raynawashere [Rating: 8/10] this drama is pretty good. of course i was only going to watch it because of koyama. but then it was pretty good. the dudes cousin is so annoying and i dont like her voice. but it was still a cute drama! :D |
14. | Comments by lawsco [Rating: 8/10] From Malayasia This was pretty good I thought, Not as good as some but better than a lot. Parts of it were quite funny & the so called evil sister is so inept you really can't hate her. |
15. | Comments by Super No. 1 [Rating: 6/10] It was just okay for me. I missed a lot of it simply because I fell asleep while trying to watch. It's a somewhat intriguing story, although very predictable. |
16. | Comments by nagaioyasumi [Rating: 7/10] There is something magical about Shinohara Ryoko. The plot was silly, the supporting actors horrible, but she kept me watching. I'd say this is for fans only. |
17. | Comments by jade_frost [Rating: 6/10] I like Ryoko Shinohara but Hanayome was a shallow, exaggerated and overly long affair. The letdown is the script and silly characters like Azuchi Kaori. |
18. | Comments by ABINTRA [Rating: 7/10] Surprisingly enjoyable. It sounds like a totally B series, but I really came to care about the characters and their relationships. |
19. | Comments by natzumi [Rating: 9/10] Pretty good. Wasn't too interested at the beginning, but ended up watching everything. It's a nice family drama. I like it. |
20. | Comments by sweet_tapioca [Rating: 8/10] The drama's good, I especially like the beginning, but the ending was kinda crappy, it felt really dragged on. |
21. | Comments by wanderingfish7 [Rating: 7/10] A story about family, interesting and touching in both ways. Of course, I love Shinohara san a lot. |
22. | Comments by xxhiroxx [Rating: 8/10] A rather interesting watch with a good storyline. One of the better dramas this season. |
23. | Comments by hitomi #1 [Rating: 5/10] Quite a lame drama, only worth watching for Ryoko but even she can't lift up this mess. |
24. | Comments by Wynter [Rating: 8/10] This drama was a lot of fun, and I really enjoyed the storyline. Shinohara rocks! |
25. | Comments by gaijinmark [Rating: 6/10] Shinohara fans might find a reason to like this. But they'd be the only ones. |
26. | Comments by Eyeyore [Rating: 6/10] some sort of repeating the daughter-in-law vs mother-in-law series. |
27. | Comments by kumaxell [Rating: 7/10] It's beginning was promising, but it's ending was dragging. |
28. | Comments by irwinner [Rating: 7/10] Rather predictable story, which gets worse towards the end. |
29. | Comments by akitsu [Rating: 7/10] The cast wa superb, but the story was a complete bullshit. |
30. | Comments by chibichan [Rating: 6/10] just so-so dorama, but really funny at some part |
