it's so-so... But much better from most of NHK doramas tough. As expected from a NHK dorama (well... not the Taigas ones) they dont work much on the character development due the short amount of episodes... for the same reasons (NHK again.. not talking bout the Taiga ones) the casting isnt something memorable (but on this one they put quite a nice show). Really enjoyed the ending (when the main char surpass all her friends) i tough they did a nice job on that... (altough, in the ending.. they could spare me from that horrible speech). Nways... i had always tough that all NHK doramas were crap... an Futatsu no Spica made me realize its not. (Still.. most of them are!) |

This seemed like a kids' series at first. The cast is unexpectedly young, some of the dialogue can sound a bit naive and I cannot fully understand why the characters want to go to space that much. But aside from these misgivings, there are a lot to like about this series. Many of the scenes resonated with me and I can certainly identify with some of the internal struggles and personal doubts in pursuit of the dream/goal. I found myself immersed in the story with the characters and they all feel very genuine with sincere feelings and convictions. The last two episodes felt a bit flat for me but good series overall. |

Although this dorama talks about space, it is more like a school dorama. There's a space school (strange idea, btw) and you'll find those student-student, teacher-student, parent-student, parent-teacher relationships. Anyway it was refreshing to find a new point of view (from the outer space :D) and the dorama was nicely portrayed (though things happened a bit fast). Really nice to watch. |

Unexpected pleasure, shame it was only 7 episodes but left no time for filler. While about training at an astronaut school dealt more with people fitting in together and the obstacles they had to overcome in maintaining friendships even though they were rivals, one of the better 'High School' dramas. |

This drama would have been great if there was more character development. The pace of the story was rushed at the end. It is sort of understandable since its was only 7 episodes, but still they could have paced it better by not making the beginning of the drama slow. |

A low budget Space Brothers for young teens/adults with all the usual messages: believe in your dreams, you are not alone, friendship is valuable etc. Enjoyable but nothing ground-breaking. |
