| In April 1986, an orientation is being conducted for Sangyo Chuo Bank’s new employees. The last course is practical training on financial strategy for the two outstanding teams. The leaders for the respective teams are Kaido Akira (Mukai Osamu) and Yamazaki Akira (Saito Takumi) who are both graduates of Tokyo University. As the son of the owner (Ishimaru Kanji) of one of Japan’s leading companies, Kaido was born with an easy life and is promised a future as the next company president. On the other hand, the genius Yamazaki suffered hardships after his father’s (Matsushige Yutaka) company went bankrupt and their family had to run away at night. The two of them have built lives for themselves and joined the same bank. In fact, their lives had even crossed paths before this. But they have yet to realise this fact. Kaido and Yamazaki challenge each other as good friends and rivals as they overcome difficulties. And then, in what can only be described as “destiny”, a punishing ordeal drops on them … … |
