| 1. | Comments by Sakebitosan [Rating: 6/10] [Currently available - as of Jan 2021 - at Viki] This drama is interesting mostly for the character of the heroine, Yoshii-san, also for its glimpse into what work in a big Japanese company is like. The subject matter - harassment - is interesting too, both for its prevalence in the Japanese workplace and, conversely, for the shocking fact that the Japanese constitution apparently does not protect freedom of speech. IOW, beyond company policies on behavior (which are justifiable and needed,) it is apparently against the law to offend people?
As a result, the concept of harassment gets separated from its literal meaning and becomes a tool for unethical people to attack others for personal gain. So the program does a good job of illustrating the dangers of defining harassment too broadly and consequently, people throwing it around as a blanket accusation, much like "heretic" was used in the Middle Ages. And of course this arbitrary usage damages the cases of people who are victims of genuine harassment.
Where the drama falls flat for me is in the often ambiguous - and sometimes confusing - ethical positions people take, including those of Yoshii-san. There's also the annoyance of an abrupt, up-in-the-air and somewhat arbitrary ending.
So call this one interesting, but flawed in its ethical ambiguity and at nine episodes it's too short to give the subject the depth that it deserves. | 2. | Comments by gaijinmark [Rating: 7/10] Another drama set in the corporate world where no one got ahead on ability or hard work, but everyone is either a liar or a scheming backstabber. It did have its moments however, and I really liked Naoto Takenaka as the section chief and Yumi Aso as the older OL. | 3. | Comments by Elf Elf [Rating: 7/10] Abit forced at times, but interesting representation of an aspect /problem of Japanese society | 4. | Comments by Spider [Rating: 8/10] Nice corporate drama but I wish they had some closure at the end, unless there is a season 2. | 5. | Comments by DPanTHera [Rating: 7/10] Vi até ao 6 inclusive. | 6. | Comments by resha22chad [Rating: ?/10]
