Live action series based on the popular manga serial by Yosuke Fujishima.
The story of Taiho Shichauzo is an action-comedy about two female police officers with complete opposite personalities that are teamed up to fight crime in Tokyo. The drama depicts the female officers as having a unique and aggressive approach not only in love and fashion, but when confronting dangerous felons and criminals as well.
Famous Japanese actress Sachie Hara will portray the intelligent and car-loving Miyuki Kobayakawa. Hara stated in the press conference that she enjoyed dressing in costume [as a police woman] because she doesn't have the opportunity to dress in uniform so often. Since the drama has numerous action scenes, she also mentioned how her body ached after training for the role.
Hara's co-star Misaki Ito will portray the wild and powerful Natsumi Tsujimoto who is skilled in martial arts and blessed with athletic abilities. Ito described her character as someone who is "passionate and straightforward" and her trademark martial arts move is an "elbow drop."
Also on hand were the other members of the cast, including Kazushige Nagashima, the leading man in the series. Nagashima will portray the character Ken Nakajima, a tough, motorcycle riding officer with a strong sense of justice. The audience burst into laughter as he said, "Since I'm much obliged to the police department twice (due to car accidents, etc.), I feel a little awkward to play this role." This is probably as cheap and childish as TV shows can come... but I loved it! There's a certain innocence to it that you don't often come across. It was my first drama, and will probably remain my favorite--I've just never genuinely enjoyed something as much before. I thought it was hilarious how there was often more focus on the relationship/dating aspects than the police force. But the latter is basically there to provide a refreshing backdrop, which gives the whole show a certain novelty value. And as has been mentioned, there's plenty of eye candy! First and my most favorite JDrama I watched. If you are watching J drama from the story point of view this is the drama good. Fighting scene are bad, however I was not expecting much. This is one of the drama I watched and was satisfied with the ending, because sometime you will find drama that was rushed. This is something to watch when your bored. What this dorama lacks is a solid story that one can really get immersed into. It is pretty much diffrent scenarios and antics each episode. When you throw in a love story here and there you get a good fun to watch Dorama. This was surprisingly charming. This is really a cheesy drama but it is soooo fun. Expect sub-par acting and absurd situations. It is just a drama for pure fun. This was the first dorama I watched. The actions scenes need a little work but overall the show is very entertaining. The characters have many "emotions" and "actions" that make this action comedy soooo Japanese. M. I did not know any of the cast except Hara Sachie when I first watched this show. Actually I watched because the theme song is sung by Katase Nana. An episodic series without much heart. The characters themselves were a little amusing to begin with, but after the first two episodes, their static reactions to situations began to become pretty predictable and made the series seem draggy and boring. Although a lot of this series is emphasized in the comedy department, I found that most of the jokes were rather corny and played out. None of the characters were that memorable and the plot was even less so.
I know that this series is based off of a popular manga and anime series, however I've seen other live action-type dramas that are able to pull it off very well. Simple and funny. Misaki and Sachie are cute. Nagashima Kazushige always makes me laugh, ano baka otoko.. This drama rating is supposed to be 7,5. Just for fun, don't expect too much about this series.

having some knowledge of the manga I was really disapointed, I would truly have liked more "excess".
