| Veteran detective Arima Eiji (Tachi Hiroshi), who is on the verge of retirement, young lawyer Sera Shoichi (Furukawa Yuki) and public prosecutor Haruna Misuzu (Hoshino Mari) belong to a unit which re-investigates death-row inmates and probes the possibility of wrong convictions. Arima once wrongly charged an innocent person in a case which he was responsible for. However, he begins to investigate one of the unit’s cases with feelings of atonement for that past case and suspicions of possible false charges, he arrives at a death-row inmate. Despite running into numerous riddles, the hidden truth gradually begins to emerge one after another. As the execution of this inmate approaches, the various battles of Arima, Sera, Misuzu become one and the story hurtles to a climax. |
