In English it would mean, literally, "without infamy nor praise", and in a less literal and therefore better translation, it would sound as "not particularly worth of praise, nor of criticism". The dorama has its moments and the main actors (Kanno Miho, Amami Yuki, Tamaki Hiroshi, Koichi Mantaro and Miyoshi Ayaka) all deliver solid performances. Unfortunately, the script is a bit plain, so it ends up been watchable and even quite enjoyable, but at the same time not particularly remarkable. |
2. | Comments by occultangle [Rating: 7/10] I've never seen Kanno Miho in such a cute role. Which is especially surprising considering she is playing a woman in her mid-thirties, worrying about still being unmarried. She acts like a 12 year old girl in an adults body. I find it really intriguing, and her character alone makes the whole drama entirely watchable and enjoyable. But honestly outside of her, everything else is uninspiring, cliche, typical, mediocre, etc. etc. Without Kanno Miho this would have been boring beyond any point of redemption, but with her it's rather good. |
3. | Comments by WhiteHawk [Rating: 8/10] A bit predictable and syrupy, yet still entertaining and definitely worth watching. Especially liked the motorcycle scenes shot in Yokohama, where I was riding recently. Amami Yuki and Tamaki Hiroshi are excellent, as always. |
4. | Comments by sadacori [Rating: 7/10] A sweet, but subtle romantic drama for those in their 30s and 40s. I really enjoyed this one. This drama had a bunch of well-known actors and it was nice to see some of them in a laid-back sort of atmosphere. |
5. | Comments by Patazilla [Rating: 7/10] Lovely on the eye, but the character's speech and mimics as well as the dialogue sadly felt way too artificial most of the time. It's Japan, I know, but still. |
6. | Comments by v1olet [Rating: 9/10] getting married or being single is a choice. nice to watch. Miho Kanno, Amami Yuki and Tamaki Hiroshi are good as always. Love the song by Kobukuro. |
7. | Comments by gaijinmark [Rating: 6/10] Another will I/won't I ever get married soap opera. Emphasis on soap opera. It aggravates me that Miho Kanno wastes her talent on stuff like this. |
8. | Comments by RISAKO [Rating: 3/10] not interested - same ole , same ole story of marriage...boring. didn't finish first episode. |
9. | Comments by Signo [Rating: 6/10] Too cursorily and too concentrated on the marriage part, so the plot is sometimes too boring. |
10. | Comments by irwinner [Rating: 7/10] Predictable story but its something you can relate to as a single. |
11. | Comments by Jackykero [Rating: 8/10] Fans of Kanno Miho and Amami Yuki, this one is for you! |
